TONY Blair states that extra money to the firemen would be more than the economy can stand.
How much did the last increase MPs gave themselves and presumably their hangers-on, spin doctors, wives acting as secretaries, etc. cost this country? We weren't asked and I suppose we pensioners will have to be humbly grateful if we get another 50p.
