A MAN aged 28 and two 33-year-old women were arrested when police executed a number of warrants in the Trinity area of Burnley.
The raids yesterday morning were part of a special drugs operation codenamed Flechette.
A quantity of what police believe to be heroin and cannabis was recovered and the three people are currently being questioned at Burnley Police Station.
The warrants, initiated by PC Ian Thompson and community beat managers Justin Brown and Adam Gordon, were carried out as part of a continuing crackdown on drug-related crime in the Burnley area.
Following the raids, officers handed flyers to residents, explaining why there had been extra officers in the area and urging more people to come forward with information.
PC Thompson said: "We now have a dedicated drugs crime-line in Burnley, staffed 24 hours a day. Anyone with information should give us a call on 0800 555 885."
