THE Friends of Ashton Park, Darwen, are still looking for people who have an interest in the park to join their volunteer group.
Frank Hull, the Friends' founder, said the turnout had been poor since the last appeal two months ago.
He said: "We haven't managed to get a group together as yet. All that's needed is simply one hour every month to attend a meeting."
Working together with Blackburn with Darwen Council, the group meets once a month to discuss a number of topics such as easier access and an improved play area in the park.
With the establishment of a recognised group, the Friends hope to secure council funding to improve the area.
