LANCASHIRE Evening Telegraph readers have been thanked for giving needy people a better Christmas.
Wendy Hobson spoke out after she organised the 'Be a Star, Light Up Someone's Christmas' campaign for the Blackburn Partnership's Europrint Employee Involvement scheme.
She appealed in the run-up to the festive period for people to donate toys and tins of food at our offices -- and has been overwhelmed by the response.
More than 50 companies also joined up to spread goodwill.
Wendy said: "Thanks to the generosity of readers and the companies, disadvantaged people throughout the borough will be able to enjoy a brighter festive period."
She added that it was not too late for people to make last-minute donations by calling 01254 661166.
