A BLACKBURN landlord has decided to do his bit for the equality of the sexes when he puts on a special 'ladies' night' at his venue.
Ronnie Brown, of Northbar, Town Hall Street, said he was in the process of organising a night with male dancers in February.
He said he wanted to do something for the women of East Lancashire after holding a similar night for men last week.
The popular "classy" men's night with Page 3 models was held on Thursday in the town centre bar.
Ronnie said the nights were such a success and he had received so much pressure from women, including his wife, to put on a night with male dancers that he had decided to stage one in the New Year.
He said: "I decided I had to do it, because I suppose it wouldn't have been fair if I hadn't.
"I got a bit of pressure from the women, especially my wife Jo, and I suppose they're right. We have it for men, why not for women?
"We hold nights at the bar for men on regular occasions and they are really popular. They're not seedy, in fact they're quite classy.
"The girls do a bit of dancing and it's amazing how much they earn. Last week's nearly fell through because the agent had double-booked us with somewhere else, but in the end it all went ahead.
"The only problem I can see is that the male dancers, unlike the girls, want paying in advance for some reason, but I'm going to do my best to book them."
