A VERY special school couldn't have asked for a better first inspection report.
Brookfield High at Hindley has been praised at all levels by Ofsted watchdogs.
The 150-place school, which caters for secondary children with special educational needs, opened two years ago in Park Road.
Headteacher John Young was singled out for particular praise by the inspectors, who were impressed by governors' and parents' dedication.
A delighted Mr Young said the report was a tribute to the hard work of everyone involved with Brookfield.
He said: "We couldn't have asked for a better first report. We believe passionately in giving our pupils the very best start we can and for Ofsted to recognise this is very pleasing indeed."
