POLICE are appealing for witnesses to an accident in which an 81-year-old motorist suffered head injuries.
The driver was in his Skoda at 1.20pm on Thursday of last week (Dec19) when he was in collision with a double decker bus in Bury New Road, Whitefield, as he turned right into Victoria Lane. Both vehicles ploughed into the railings outside the Beehive pub.
The elderly driver was cut free from the car by fire crews and taken to North Manchester General Hospital. Anyone who witnessed the accident should call Bury Traffic Unit on 856 8073.
