RESIDENTS in Hyndburn's four most deprived wards could have wheelie bins by February.
The council is set to introduce the new recycling scheme after consultation with householders brought resounding approval for wheely bins, green waste bins and kerbside boxes for dry recycling.
The scheme will be funded by successful bids for government funds totalling more than £875,000.
These included an application to the Neighbourhood Renewal Fund for £275,000 to introduce wheely bins in the Central, Church, Barnfield and Springhill wards.
Another £600,000 was secured for kerbside boxes, plus £90,000 for another 6,00 wheely bins for green waste.
More than 80 per cent of residents said they would welcome the scheme during consultation.
The council's latest forward plan of key decisions to be taken over the next four months lists the decision for February.
