COULD you be a prop idol?
That's the question Lancaster people are being asked to answer this week.
It comes from rugby league stars at London Broncos - as they ask Lancaster sports-people to join a national search for a future rugby league star to play professionally for the club.
Lancaster rugby league club is joining the hunt, being based on the popular reality TV series which gave the world Will Young and Gareth Gates.
Officials from the new Lancaster club are inviting would be Paul Sculthorpes and Andy Farrells to join them at the regional heat being held in Liverpool over the weekend of January 12 and 13.
"There are a large number of highly skilled rugby players of either code in north Lancashire," says club spokesman John Thomson.
"This scheme offers them a fantastic opportunity to show off their abilities in front of officials from one of the country's leading pro-fessional clubs."
The trials will feature tests of speed, power and skill, and the winner will get a contract with the Brentford-based Broncos.
Anyone wishing to get involved - or who knows a likely star - is asked to call John on 01524-33354.
