VISITORS to Morecambe Library will soon have the opportunity to air their views to the nation!
The library has been fitted with high tech 'web cams' which provide a direct link to the BBC's Morning Show - a new venture that aims to give members of the public the chance to air their opinions on a range of hot topics from January 6 next year.
The presenters, former Pop Idol judge Nikki Chapman and enter-tainment correspondent Robert Nisbet, will tell viewers the next day's subjects for discussion.
It is then up to the public to visit the library to record their opinions.
" We want to hear your views and see you contributing to The Morning Show, and this is a perfect way to do it," says Robert Nisbet.
"So make sure you're heard on the biggest interactive vote on TV!"
The Morning Show is being described as a 'vibrant mix of current affairs and lifestyle issues' and will be aimed at the daytime audience.
The BBCsays it hopes the programme will bring an ' exciting interactive' edge to the schedules.
Says Cllr Marcus Johnstone, city council cabinet member for libraries: "This looks like the start of something exciting and I'm sure it will capture the imagination.
Our libraries have been leading the way with providing new tech-nology to the public so it's fitting we should be involved in his pione-ering show.
He adds: "I expect the show to be lively and I'm sure the producers will not be disap-pointed by Lancashire people's contributions."
The Morning Show will be on air from 10am to 11am, Monday to Friday, until February 28, 2003.
