A CARD put through my letter box, told me that an item awaited me at the main post office and required a payment of 99p.
I picked up a Christmas card which a friend had inadvertently posted without a stamp. I would willingly pay the postage, even though the omission wasn't mine, but as I collected it instead of a postman having to deliver it, how does the GPO justify the 80p additional charge?
