WHY has such a large town as Blackburn, the so-called capital of East Lancashire, which aspires to become a city, got no proper bus station?
Compare the hi-tech facilities offered at neighbouring towns and cities like Bolton, Wigan, Chorley, Burnley, Preston or Lancaster with what is provided at Blackburn -- a series of cold and dirty shelters with no seating, clock, toilets, heated waiting room, shops, cafe, maps of whereabouts to board.
This is totally unsuitable and surely unacceptable for this day and age.
With its convenient location near to the trains and the new police station, there is enormous potential for a safe and warm environment to be created. If only.
