PENDLE Borough Council will give an update on the Nelson West renewal scheme at a meeting in the new year.
The council and English Heritage are at loggerheads over a scheme to rejuvenate an area of the town. The conservation group objected to plans to demolish homes in West Nelson.
Pendle Council says the clearances need to proceed in order for the renewal scheme to go ahead.
An alternative planning proposal has been put forward by English Heritage and a public inquiry has already been held.
The council will give an update on the current situation regarding negotiations, settlements and the need for further funding for the purchase of homes at Nelson Town Hall on Wednesday, January 8, at 7pm.
