POLICE today issued an appeal to parents about a gang of youths terrorising a town centre and said: "Do you know where your children are at night?"
The move comes after a group of juveniles went on the rampage in the Valley Centre, off Bank Street, Rawtenstall, over Christmas, breaking into shops and causing nuisance.
Insp Roger Ravenscroft said: "The police are doing their best to crack down on juveniles who commit crime but we need the help of parents. It has been a particular problem over the last couple of weeks because children are off school. We need parents to take control and ask where there children are at night."
Anybody with information is asked to call Rossendale CID on 01706 237440 or Crimestoppers: 0800 555 111.
