TWO men conned an elderly pensioner into handing over money after falsely telling her that her cat had died.
They called at the home of the 71-year-old in Dumers Lane, Radcliffe, and told her they needed £10 for burial costs.
The devastated pensioner handed over the money.
The conmen called at her house on Boxing Day and were aged between 20 and 40 years and wore dark clothing.
Her cat is alive and well.
