NOEL Eke (Letters, December 30) is spot on. We visited friends in America last May and were struck by their patriotism.
Many people had flags outside their homes, in their gardens and on their cars.
When we told our friends that we aren't allowed to be patriotic in case we upset someone they were amazed.
