ONE way to stop controversy caused by the ill-naming of the motorway service station at Junction 4 on the M65 would be to re-name it Blackburn with Darwen Services.
This re-branding strategy adopted by the Borough of Blackburn has had a certain amount of success in reconciling the two communities which have to live and work together within the same authority. Is it not an objective of the local authority to become the city of Blackburn with Darwen eventually? The facility is sited not far from the town boundary anyway.
