A DARWEN man convicted of using violence towards a girl aged under 16 has been given a community rehabilitation order for twelve months.
Alan Mee, 38, of Railway View, was given the non-custodial sentence by a judge at Preston Crown Court who considered a background report.
He had been convicted of two charges of assault occasioning actual bodily harm following a trial.
Mee, who was of previous good character, was willing to comply with the community order, his barrister told the court.
Judge Robert Brown followed the recommendation of a pre-sentence report by imposing a community rehabilitation order.
