A BACUP theatre group is spearheading two projects aimed at helping children's health and welfare.
The Physico Theatre Studio, in Newchurch Road, is making a video commissioned by the Lancaster and Morecambe Primary Health Care Trust, looking at issues surrounding young people and sexual health.
The video, a collaberation between the theatre group and local author Carole Solazzo, will be shown in secondary schools later in the year.
The second project, in association with Rossendale Youth Services, is a short drama looking at young people's fears of moving from primary to secondary school.
The script will be performed in secondary schools later this year.
