ARSENAL'S Graham Branch has been named by the media as the Premiership player on the verge of signing for Preston North End.
The young forward, currently on loan at Division One basement side Brighton and Hove Albion, is said to have asked for the weekend to mull over a move to Deepdale.
North End have confirmed they have agreed terms with an un-named Premiership outfit for the services of a player, who would become Brown's third signing in a week.
Preston have made clear they will not disclose just who they are chasing as there are other clubs interested, but Barrett is thought to be the man.
Barrett, a 21-year-old international from Dublin, can play upfront and in midfield.
