POLICE are awaiting forensic science reports in the investigation into a girl's claim that she was raped in a Blackburn park.
The 16-year-old girl said the incident happened as she made her way through Queen's Park at around 3am on Saturday, December 28.
She was on the way home from a Christmas night out with a 15-year-old friend.
Detective Sergeant Ian Critchley said both teenagers had been interviewed and that he was waiting for forensic reports to continue the investigation.
A 31-year-old man was arrested at the time but released on bail pending further inquiries.
