Accrington Stanley will be Bacup's first opponents at West View since their return home at the beginning of the year when the two teams meet tonight (kick off 7.30pm).
Bacup have had new floodlights installed and have had extensive work done on their pitch since the summer which has resulted in them playing each of their North West Counties League second division games away from home this season.
They should have returned home two weeks ago but the match was postponed because of the weather and the home game against Colne on Saturday went the same way.
So this hastily-arranged friendly game against UniBond Premier League leaders Accrington Stanley has become the opening fixture for the new West View.
Stanley should have played Southport in the Lancashire FA Marsden Trophy tomorrow night but that game was called off so Southport could play their FA Trophy game at Leek Town tonight.
Bacup manager Brent Peters said: "This is now the first game back at West View and the first game under the new floodlights.
"That would have happened two weeks ago but for the weather.
"This game will help both teams. It will help us because we have to play Padiham on Saturday and if we weren't playing tonight we wouldn't have played for two weeks."
