AN Astley-based businessman has been disqualified from being a company director for two years.

Thomas Critchley was one of four directors of a management activities-holding company that failed with net estimated debts of £887,000.

The Insolvency Service this week announced that the foursome gave disqualification undertakings for two years in respect of their conduct as directors of Interflow Group plc which carried out business from premises in Chester.

The acceptance on November 29 last year prevents Mr Critchley from being a director of a company, whether directly or indirectly or being concerned or taking part in the promotion or management of a company for the period.

The company went into liquidation on June 6, 2000 with net estimated debts of £887,637.28.

The Secretary of State and Industry accepted the disqualification undertakings based on four counts of unfit conduct, three relating to dividends, which were not disputed by the men.
