CLASSIC World of Fitness second squash team were hosts to David Lloyd Manchester.
An electrical fault caused the court heating to fail and this totally changed the nature of the games.
After losing his first game, Gordon Bailey took control to take the next two and looked promising to win his match. His young opponent relaxed into his game, enabling him to find the winning shots.
Dave Haines took advantage of the cold courts to take the pace off the ball, frustrating the opposition and winning comfortably. Vic Moses looked good in the first game winning 9-6. His concentration failed him and he lost the next three games.
Graham Draper also won his first game but the chill factor seemed to effect his determination and aggression. Graham lost 3-1. Jim Capon ran well in his first game, winning 9-7 but could not match the fitness of his younger opponent overall, losing 3-1.
