WHERE are all the decent postcards of the area?
Golborne St Thomas' Guides and Brownies have appealed to me to help dig out some pictures that could show their pride in the area to the rest of the world.
For the second year they are taking part in an international postcard exchange and need modern new postcards of landmarks in the area, but not parks.
I'm told all the cards they have been able to obtain so far are either of the areas in the olden days or are a bit insipid.
The girls are hoping to send cards to the 50 states in American, China, Australia, New Zealand, Canada, Mexico, Belgium and Denmark by the end of the month.
Anyone who knows the whereabouts of or has any suitable cards can contact the girls' assistant Guide Leader Ally Whittaker through the Journal on 672241.
