CRYSTAL Palace may lie ninth in the first division but they have their sights firmly on a play-off place.

The Eagles are flying at the moment and go into tomorrow's meeting with the Clarets at Selhurst Park on the back of a seven match unbeaten run.

For Palace's former Crewe and Birmingham front-runner Dele Adebola the target of a top six place is the priority as the Eagles look to keep their run going.

"Things have been going well for us lately," said Adebola.

"We have put a good run together and we are now bordering on the play-off places, but it is important that we continue our good run of form."

Palace were denied last week when their scheduled meeting with Bradford City at Valley Parade was postponed, but Adebola will be itching to get back into action alongside strike partner Tommy Black.

Adebola has bagged just three goals this term but has been a regular provider for nine-goal Black and he feels the partnership is working well.

"Tommy has been going really well recently," said the Nigerian.

"He has always had the ability and, now he has that extra bit of confidence, it has made all the difference to his game."

Meanwhile, another Eagles front man is battling to be fit for this afternoon's game.

Andy Johnson has been sidelined since breaking his toe a month ago but is expected to be fit enough to earn a place in the starting line-up.
