REGARDING the problem of chewing gum and its disposal (LET, December 27), if only we could all dispose of it in the correct manner. It's so easy just to drop it in a litter bin.
It is sad that we have come to this state of affairs that we have to use CCTV cameras to catch the 'spitting gum' offenders with the help of the town-centre rangers, but I do hope it is successful.
As for using pictures of unpopular public figures for people to stick their used gum on, I think it is disgusting. What will visitors coming into Blackburn think seeing pictures daubed with filthy chewing gum?
