RAIDERS armed with a sawn-off shotgun and a hammer are being hunted by detectives after a robbery at a Bury post office.
They got away with the contents of a safe at Woolfold Post Office in Tottington Road, after confronting a 29-year-old female employee on Wednesday morning.
Both robbers were dressed in black and wore balaclavas. One was white, 5ft 8ins tall and spoke with a Liverpool accent. No-one was injured.
Detectives want to speak to anyone who saw a grey-coloured car, with tinted windows, in the vicinity of the post office at around 8am and 8.50am.
Anyone with information is asked to ring Bury CID on 856 8150.
