CHICAGO Fire goalkeeper Zach Thornton is training with Blackburn Rovers ahead of the new Major League Soccer season.
Thornton has returned for off-season training with Rovers after making a successful trip to Brockhall last season.
The 29-year-old United States international was invited over by fellow American and Rovers number one Brad Friedel, who also looked after former Chicago striker Josh Woolf when he trained with the Lancashire club last year.
It's not unusual for stars of the American game to spend time in England training ahead of the new MLS season.
