REGARDING your article (LET, January 24) on protecting people's homes in Hyndburn, my mother, who lives on the Within Grove Estate, has been robbed many times.
She has requested a move many times, has asked for work to be done on her house -- on her broken gate, etc. -- but gets hardly any service from the council.
She has lived in the house for 50-plus years, is 80-years-old and sees people who are new to the estate getting things done.
It is so unfair.
I am coming over this year to see who is responsible for this neglect of an elderly lady. Please can anyone help her?
