A COLLECTION at Greenbrook Methodist Church on Greenbrook Road raised £63.20, for the National Children's Home, which is a designated charity of the church.

A QUESTIONNAIRE sent out from Rosegrove Action Group to the residents last week needs to be returned before February 21. The group wants the views= and suggestions about the area so it can plan for the future. There is a cash prize of £25 to be won in a prize draw.

ROSEGROVE butcher Stephen Berkins was delighted to hear his customers had entered him in a competition to find the nation's cheeriest butcher in association with national farmhouse breakfast week.

And Stephen, who has a clutch of awards for his skills, was delighted in becoming the nation's most cheerful butcher in the North West region.

Customer Mrs Val Joyce described Stephen as "bright and breezy, whatever day you go into the shop and always cheers you up if you are down."
