ON Monday, February 3, it took me two and a half hours to travel from Shipley, North Yorkshire, to Whitebirk in Blackburn. It then took me a further three hours to reach Lower Darwen via Shadsworth Road. A total of five and a half hours for a journey of 43 miles, the last four miles taking three hours.
