A MAN has appeared in court accused of dishonestly trying to obtain money from banks in Accrington and across Lancashire.
Raymond Hill, is accused of dishonestly trying to obtain £24,000 and appeared before Blackpool magistrates yesterday.
Hill, 52, of Stockport Road, Hyde, is accused of seven counts of dishonestly trying to obtain the cash at branches of the Yorkshire Bank.
It is alleged he tried to get the money at the banks in Blackpool, Cleveleys, St Annes, Lancaster and Accrington in December last year. He was arrested just days after police issued CCTV footage of a suspect.
He was remanded in custody to appear in court again on February 13.
