A SECTION of motorway near Bury will be closed during the night next week while resurfacing work is carried out.
The M66 will be closed between Junction 2 at Heap Bridge and Junction 4 at Simister.
The southbound carriageway will be closed from 10.30pm until 7am on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, re-opening at 5.30am on Friday.
The northbound carriageway will be closed overnight from 10.30pm until 5.30am on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday.
A diversion will operate via the A58, A56 and M60. The work is part of a £10 million scheme to resurface the M62 and M66.
, improve lighting columns, safety fences and drainage.
