A BAE Systems employee has narrowly missed being shot in Saudi Arabia.
The man was followed by three Saudi men in a vehicle who fired five shots at him as he was driving into a defence contractor's compound in Riyadh, the country's capital.
The victim, who is British but not thought to be from Lancashire, escaped with a cut from broken glass after a bullet hit the windscreen.
A spokesman for BAE Systems, a major employer in the county with sites in Samlesbury and Wharton, said no bullets hit him.
Police have launched an investigation but made no arrests.
The Foreign Office said they were offering full assistance to the man and his employers.
A BAE spokesman added: "We keep our employees fully informed about the security situation and give them appropriate advice."
