BUSINESSMEN and women in Bury can now be put to the test to gauge how good they are at their jobs.

The test has been devised ahead of the first-ever National Small Business Week scheduled to take place in April. Manchester will host one of many regional events to be staged nationwide.

Cranfield School of Management and National Small Business Week have developed the business brains test, aimed at entrepreneurs, which comprises 30 multiple-choice questions. To put your skills to the test, log on to www.nationalsmallbusinessweek.co.uk, and clicking on the Business Brains Test. Within seconds of taking the test, small business owners will be able to find out where their strengths and weaknesses lie.

Aspects covered include accounting, regulation, legislation, management and marketing.

Once the test is completed and submitted, respondents will be scored on the areas of expertise, as well as receiving elaborated answers to the questions.

The inaugural National Small Business Week, beginning on April 28, has been developed to help small businesses develop their skills. The central feature of the week will be a major exhibition and series of conferences taking place at Earls Court, London, supported by regional events in Birmingham, Manchester, Glasgow, Belfast and Bristol.
