MAY I, through the pages of your newspaper, thank the people of Blackpool for supporting Len and Barbara Curtis in creating Donna's Dream House on Chapel Road, Central Blackpool.
I say 'creating', as this house has had so much love, care and attention ploughed into it.
It is a credit to you all.
My daughter, Shelley, who has an inoperable brain tumour was invited to the dream house for a weekend in February. Everything - food, vouchers for meals and vouchers for free entry to various venues, were supplied, making our trip to Blackpool a carefree one.
Families like ours are very grateful to people like yourselves for caring and supplying these places of escapism, for that is what we need, to escape from hospitals, doctors tests and to become a 'normal' family again, if only for a short while!
We look forward to seeing you all again when we come for our walk along the prom
