HELLO everyone. Bet you thought I'd fallen off the edge of the world! However, continuing the Sven

story . . .

We started out from Ealing at 4.00am, with the intention of reaching Bow Sudios in the Docklands area of London for 6.00am. Too early you might say well . . .

After about 30 minutes, I checked with my driver (Mayor's chaffeur remember!) that we were on the right road.

He assured me that everything was OK and not to worry. After another 30 minutes or so, and numerous referrals to the map. I felt uncomfortable as we didn't appear to be seeing any signs that we should have seen.

However, Frank with great authority (Mayor's chauffeur remember!)told me not to worry but I was getting worried.

We attempted to stop people in cars (try that at 5.00am in the middle of London, nobody wanted to know!)and evnetually came across a guard who was willing to help. He guided us part way, indicated the right direction (we had been wrong along) and left us to our own devises.

Confident that we were now on the road to fame and The Big Breakfast Studio, Frank continued to drive. We were lost, totally lost!

Time had ticked by at a tremendous pace and now, not having a clue as to where we were, the clock was telling us it was 5.45 and we were due at the studio in 15 minutes.

Eventually after more time had left us, we latched on to a taxi who agreed to lead us to our destination with only 20 minutes to go before going "on air"

Numerous phone calls from the studio to assure the producer that we were on our way and with ten minutes to spare, we paid the taxi driver and quickly parked up outside the studio.

It is the only time I have paid good money for a taxi that I never sat in, but money well spent. Almost dragged by the producer into the studio, I was quickly briefed and my "fame" was assured.
