POLICE are appealing for witnesses to a collision between a Ford Fiesta car and a horse in Back Lane, Sabden,
at 12.45pm on Sunday.
The blue car, registration, F726 LNB, collided with a horse and female rider.
The horse and rider were treated for minor injuries at the scene, but the driver of the car failed to stop.
A man has been arrested in relation to the incident and released on police bail pending further inquiries.
Police are looking for the driver of a BMW Mini and a group of cyclists believed to have seen the car just before the collision. Contact Clitheroe Police on 012000 443344.
