AN arsonist is being hunted after he tried to torch the home of a Bury pensioner.
The firebug had poured petrol through the letterbox of the 60-year-old woman's home in Walmersley Road and was attempting to light the fluid with matches when he was disturbed by the woman's son. He could only describe the offender as a "shadowy figure".
The incident happened at 1.40am on Saturday. (March 8).
