THE Bury Times (Feb 28) reports that Councillor Wayne Campbell blames the increased cost of the police, fire service, insurance and transport levies for making up eight per cent of the 11.7 per cent increase in our council tax. This leaves just a 3.7 per cent increase for Bury MBC's own services.
Will Coun Campbell please let us know on what the extra £9.7 million being received from the Government this year (Bury Times, Feb 14) is going to be spent?
