BLACKPOOL'S annual 'Donkey MOT' day took place last Friday at the Rigby Road stables.
The 'MOT' sees council vets and the RSPCA visit donkey owners to inspect the animals, which work in the resort's tourist industry, and ensure they are fit and healthy. Donkeys were also micropchipped so owners can tell which donkey is theirs. An annual donkey day, with prizes for the best and healthiest donkey, is due to take place shortly.
