RESIDENTS in the Hargher Clough area of Burnley will be helping to shape their future at a weekend event dubbed 'Local Planning in Action'.
The event on Sunday will give residents the chance to take part in a hands-on process to identify problems and solutions in their area.
A range of organisations will attend to encourage talks between residents and service providers.
The event has been organised by the Community Alliance, a body set up to bring community organisations in the town together.
Members of the Airdrie Crescent Residents' Group, local volunteers, Pennine police and young people from the area have helped organise the event.
The Hargher Clough action day will be held at Myrtle Bank School from 1pm.
