A BURNLEY driver accused of causing the death of a fellow student by dangerous driving was given bail after a private hearing at Manchester Crown Court.
Sadakat Hussein, 19, will be back in court on September 24 for a formal hearing when he will be asked to enter a plea.
A court official confirmed that Hussein, of Beaufort Street, Nelson had been bailed on "stringent conditions" after a chambers application.
The victim, Jonathon Roberts, also 19, from Nescliffe, Shropshire, was hit by a car when crossing Oxford Road, Manchester, in March.
Hussein, who is studying at Manchester Metropolitan University, was refused bail by magistrates, when committed to the crown court last week.
