BETTY Grobbelaar was a familiar face to thousands of customers at Radcliffe Baths.
But after 28 years she has finally retired at the age of 65.
Betty, of Salisbury Road, Radcliffe, began working there as a sauna attendant. She later became a pool attendant and spent the last few years as a receptionist.
"I'm going to miss all the laughs that came with the job, but one thing I won't miss is setting my alarm clock for cold winter mornings and working at weekends."
Her husband Andrew and daughter organised a surprise buffet and disco for Betty at the Bolholt Country Park Hotel attended by friends and past and present colleagues.
