A SUCCESSFUL police operation has netted four suspected criminals following a swoop in Rossendale.
Police targeted criminals in Waterfoot and Bacup after working with residents to help rid the area of crime.
Operation Foxtrot involved local patrol officers, community beat managers, and specialist officers from the Pennine Division support unit and dog unit.
Two warrants were executed resulting in one male being arrested on suspicion of abstracting electricity, and one woman being arrested on suspicion of possessing Class A drugs.
Police made two further arrests in Bacup town centre for suspected robbery offences and being in possession of a Class A drug. Sergeant Ian Cooper said: "I hope the action will serve as a warning to criminals in the Rossendale Valley."
