BLACKBURN with Darwen Amnesty International Local Group would like to thank all who attended The Mela and Arts in the Park in Blackburn and signed our cards and made generous donations.
Almost 800 cards were signed during the two weekends, which we think is a magnificent total. These have now begun to make their way to Brazil, Vietnam, Israel and the Russian Federation to continue the fight to support human rights for all people throughout the world.
Congratulations must also go to the Festivals and Events Department of Blackburn with Darwen Council for their superb organisation of these two events, which were enjoyed by so very many people.
