This week, with VINCENT GATES, 44, landlord of the Knowles Arms, Blackburn, who has been granted a breakfast drinks licence when the Rugby World Cup is screened on TV
HOME: My first home on my own was 3 Stockbridge Gardens, Stonyhurst. I was 20 at the time. It was lovely.
FOREIGN HOLIDAY: Benidorm in 1970. I was 11 and we had a great time. I went with my friend Andrew Davies and his parents Bob and Sheila. By coincidence, Bob also went on to be landlord of the Knowles Arms.
SCHOOL: St Mary's Infant School, Langho. It's now a hotel.
RECORD: Mony Mony by Tommy James and the The Shondells.
JOB: As a catering boy in the merchant navy at the age of 16. I went on to be ship's cook. It was the best job in the world. I'd travelled around the world three times before I was 20. I saw everything, did everything - and I was well paid.
CAR: A B-reg yellow Mini. It was probably the worst car I've ever had in my life. I crashed it into the River Ribble outside the De Tabley and it never got used again after that.
SPORTS MATCH: Rovers against Villa at Ewood Park in the early '60s. From memory, Rovers beat them 3-2. I was very young -- about seven -- and I went with my brothers.
PUB: I was landlord of a small village pub -- The Elms, in Pickmere, Cheshire.
