REGARDING the remarks in "Foul called on police horses," (Letters, August 7), there is no comparison between horse manure and horrible, smelling dog dirt.
Does the writer not know that horse manure can be spread around things that one can eat and stay healthy -- rhubarb, potatoes, etc.
When we were young, we would have to be the first with a shovel and brush, collecting whatever the horse had left behind.
