CHORLEY Lynx play their most important game of the season this Sunday when they entertain championship rivals Sheffield Eagles at Victory Park, kick off 3pm.

Both sides are locked on 20 points, but the Eagles head the table with a superior points difference with Keighley also on 20 points in third place.

Victory for Lynx would put them in pole position with just three games remaining and coach Darren Abram will be looking for a vastly improved performance from his team after they struggled to overcome Gateshead Thunder last Sunday at the International Stadium.

Lynx should welcome back Chris Newall and Anthony Blackwood from injury and Abram has nothing but praise for his squad players who have come into the team when the squad has been down to the bare bones.

Last Sunday's victory was a club record sixth successive win and also their 10th win in their last 11 games. Wingman Eric Andrews could be the ace in the pack for Lynx as he looks to extend his try scoring sequence to 12 consecutive games having already touched down 17 times in his previous 11 outings.
